I started Kent Web Co. because I kept hearing the same story from local business owners: they paid someone five grand for a website, got a slow template that nobody updated, and a year later they had no idea how to even log in.

That's not how it should work.

I build websites the way I'd want one built for my own business: fast, easy to update, designed around what your customers actually do — not what looks impressive on a designer's portfolio.

I'm based in Riverview, FL, and I work exclusively with Tampa Bay-area small businesses. That's not a marketing line — it means I can grab coffee with you to kick off a project, and I know what "near the Brandon Mall" means without checking a map.

How is this different from Wix or Squarespace? +

Wix and Squarespace are tools — they give you a blank canvas and 9,000 template options. I'm the person who designs the right site for your business, writes the copy, sets it up properly, and hands you the keys. If you have time to learn web design, those tools work great. If you'd rather run your business and have a pro handle it, that's what I'm for. I actually build many client sites on Squarespace under the hood — so you still get the easy-edit experience after launch.

Do I own my website when we're done? +

100%. The domain is in your name, the hosting account is yours, the content is yours. I don't hold your site hostage with a "platform" only I can access. If you ever want to stop working with me, you keep everything.

How long does it actually take? +

Starter: 7 days. Growth: 14 days. Authority: 21 days. The clock starts the day you send me your content and deposit — not the day we first talk. The biggest variable is honestly how fast you get me photos and copy approvals. Clients who move fast launch even sooner.

What if I don't have any photos or content yet? +

That's normal — and not a problem. I'll write the first draft of your copy from a 45-minute interview call, and I have licensed stock photography to use until you can get real photos taken. For the Authority package, I'll also give you a shot list and direction for a local photographer if you want to invest in originals.

What if I already have a website? +

Even better — I can usually preserve your domain authority and Google rankings while rebuilding. We'll do a free audit first to tell you honestly whether you need a rebuild or just some targeted updates. Sometimes the right answer is "your site's fine, here's the three things to fix." I'll tell you that for free.

Do you work outside Tampa Bay? +

Occasionally, for the right project. But my pricing and process are built around being a local — I drive to you, I understand the market, I can recommend trusted vendors for photography or printing. For businesses outside the area, I usually refer to other studios I trust.
